Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, is one of Africa's largest and oldest protected areas, located in southern Tanzania. It offers diverse wildlife viewing, including elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, and a vast array of bird species. A two-day safari will provide glimpses of this incredible ecosystem, with opportunities for game drives and boat safaris along the Rufiji River. The park's vastness allows for an immersive experience in the wilderness, making it an unforgettable adventure.
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 4:00 am and head to Nyerere National Park, a journey of about 5 to 6 hours. Upon arrival, check in at Nyerere Tented Camp for lunch before embarking on an exciting boat safari along Rufiji river. As the sun sets, we'll return to the camp for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, we'll start the day with a thrilling game drive in the park, exploring its diverse wildlife until the afternoon. We'll break for lunch and then continue the game drive towards the main gate for check-out.
